Introduction & Commitment

Talent Forge Africa is committed as an organisation to protecting your personal information. We have taken all necessary steps to ensure we handle this information correctly, sensitively, and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation across the jurisdictions in which we operate.

This privacy policy sets out what personal information we collect from you when you engage with us — whether as a candidate exploring new opportunities or as a client partner — how we store and use it, and how you can access, manage, and withdraw consent at any time.

We believe that trust is the foundation of every great placement — and that begins with how we handle your most personal information.

02

What personal Information do we collect?

We collect the personal information you provide on our application and contact forms, together with any comments or remarks you supply in free text fields — such as personal statements or CVs where applicable. We may also keep a record of references received from third parties, including those you provide, as well as any other correspondence or communication between you and us, whether written, via email, during interviews, or via telephone.

We process the following categories of personal data about you:

  • Contact details (name, email address, phone number, location)
  • Identification information
  • Information about past and current employment history
  • Education and professional qualifications
  • References and third-party verifications
  • Interview notes and assessment records
  • Client contact details, including email and head office addresses

03

How do we keep your data secure?

Any personal data collected by Talent Forge Africa is stored securely in password-protected systems accessible only to authorised personnel.

Whilst we take significant steps to protect your privacy, no data transmission over the internet can be entirely guaranteed as secure. We therefore do not offer absolute guarantees over the security of personal information transmitted to us. Any information you send to us is at your own risk during transmission; however, once received, we apply strict internal procedures to safeguard it against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

04

How do we use your personal Information?

We may use and process your personal information where it is necessary in connection with — or in anticipation of — a contract between you and us, or between you and a prospective employer, for the following purposes:

Recruitment Management

To process your job application and otherwise manage the recruitment process on your behalf.

Employer Assessment

To help potential employers assess and process your job application accurately and fairly.

Reference Checking

To help potential employers check and confirm the references you provide as part of your application.

Regulatory Compliance

To check with any necessary regulatory, industry or security authorities relevant to the position applied for.

05

Our Legitimate Business Interest

We may also use and process your personal information where it is necessary for us to pursue our legitimate interests as a business. These purposes include:

  • To help us identify you so we know who we are speaking with
  • To help prevent and detect fraud or loss
  • To contact you via telephone with information about opportunities you might be interested in from time to time
  • To assess risk, carry out market research and statistical analysis, test systems, and improve the way we run our recruitment process — including quality assurance — and to analyse your application and recruitment history
  • To train staff and monitor our services, which may include recording conversations or correspondence with you to ensure we provide a high standard of service and meet our legal and regulatory obligations

06

Where you have provided Consent

We may use your personal information where you have consented for us to do so. This includes contacting you by email or other electronic means about opportunities that you might be interested in from time to time.

This consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us at info@talentforge.africa. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to your withdrawal.

07

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
